If you are having problems seeing the content area next to your video, it may be that this portion of the web page was blocked by security software on your computer. This type of blocking is typically called 'Ad Blocking' and is designed to stop annoying and sometimes malicious page content from reaching your internet browser. Many software packages called 'internet security' packages are available, including McAfee Internet Security Suite, Norton Internet Security, and others. Many of these packages default to have 'Ad Blocking' turned on, so if you know of that you have one of these packages installed, you may want to check its settings to see if it is currently blocking content. Depending on the software package, you may be able to configure the blocking to specifically allow content from specific web addresses. If so, we recommend that you configure the ad blocking to allow content from our video message address. However, some packages do not allow this fine-grained control, and you are only allowed to turn the feature on or off. In this case, we cannot recommend that you turn 'Ad Blocking' off, as that is an issue of judgement on your part. Our technical department is aware of an issue with a specific version of McAfee Internet Security Suite (version 8), where that version over-aggressively blocks content when its 'Ad Blocking' feature is turned on. See the Related Issues links below for more information on this known issue. |
